02 / Problem
State pride stickers tend to be predictable: flags, wheat, sunsets, or a boring slogan. I wanted something that felt contemporary, a little cheeky, and worth sticking on a laptop, water bottle, or notebook.
03 / Context
A self-initiated illustration project released through Redbubble. The design had to read at a small sticker size, hold up on a variety of backgrounds, and feel like Nebraska without leaning on clichés.
04 / Process
How it took shape.

Sketched a few Nebraska symbols and kept coming back to the sandhill crane and a bold, geometric badge shape.

Worked up a color palette that feels sunny and modern: sky blue, warm coral, and clean black outlines.

Tightened the illustration for small-scale reproduction, keeping detail readable on a 3-inch sticker.
- 04
Set up the files for die-cut sticker production on Redbubble and checked every preview against light and dark surfaces.
05 / Key Decisions
Why it looks the way it looks.
Bird and badge.
The sandhill crane is unmistakably Nebraska, paired with a bold badge shape that looks like a destination you'd want to visit.
A wink at the slogan.
The title plays with Nebraska's 'The Good Life' slogan, but the design is really about owning your place, your laptop, your water bottle.
Built for stickers.
Bold outlines, limited colors, and clean shapes keep the illustration sharp even at the smallest die-cut size.
06 / Final solution
